| Ginny Cornwell receives award from The Talbot Partnership for outstanding commitment to the Tilghman After School Kids (TASK) program sponsored through St. Michaels Community Center. TASK has just completed it's 5th year of providing enrichment in a safe environment with community role models. Approximately 85% of the school enrollment participates in the Tilghman after school program. Ms. Cornwell was also recognized for her community efforts in raising funds for a new school playground and the Tilghman Island Volunteer Fire Company. |

| Summer Concert Series |




| Pat Ellison will be starting a chess club for youngsters from 8 years old and up. This in an introductory program for novices and beginners. However, more experienced players are welcome to join and assist with instruction or just come and have fun. The weekly Youth Chess Club will begin Wednesday, July 16 at the St. Michaels Community Center from 3:00 - 4:00. |
